Mediation

Mediation is an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process in which a neutral third party or mediator facilitates an agreement between disputing parties. The neutral party is there only as an objective facilitator and will draft an agreement outline if the parties reach one. Mediation is a voluntary process, but if the parties reach an agreement, it will likely be binding.

Harold has been involved in Mediations since 2003. Most of his Mediations have been Divorce/Domestic Relations. He became a Registered Georgia Mediator in 2024. He has successfully mediated cases covering a wide variety of topics such as Landlord/Tenant disputes, Contract disputes, Divorce/Domestic Relations, Child Custody and Personal Injuries related to Motor Vehicle Accidents.

Mediation is not only the preferred method in family law matters but a required one as well. Every Georgia County requires mediation prior to going to trial for any civil case. When your divorce, child custody, alimony or other family law matter is subject to the mediation process, having an experienced mediator is crucial. Attorney Harold Garcia is that mediator.

Scheduling mediation is easy. Just email Harold@HaroldGarcia.com as well as opposing Counsel/Party with your available dates and whether you would like this in-person or on Zoom and Mr. Garcia will get back to you.
